Wineries

Three wineries feature here. It started with Brokenwood in the Hunter Valley, one of the first places I properly picked up a camera at a winery, on a rainy day that turned out better than any sunny one could have. Yalumba in the Barossa is the essential one, worth the visit for the history, the tastings and the colour of the place. Mordrelle Wines is smaller and personal, a boutique winery run by Martin Moran, an Argentinian winemaker who treats grape growing like a science, look for the bottle with his own portrait on the label. Some standouts are the 2021 Malbec The Gaucho and a Blanc de Blanc worth seeking out.
